EEDC explains Power blackout in parts of Anambra

The Enugu Electricity Distribution PLC (EEDC), has explained the power black out being experienced by power some of its customers in parts of Anambra State.
This explanation is contained in a statement by Head, Corporate Communications EEDC, Emeka Ezeh.
He explained, “The Enugu Electricity Distribution PLC (EEDC) regrets to inform her esteemed customers in parts of Anambra State, that the loss of supply currently being experienced is due to cable puncture on TR1 60MVA Power Transformer at the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) Substation, Nibo.
“The incident which occurred at 8.52pm of Saturday, January 9, 2021, affected Agulu and Neni 33KV feeders.
As a result of this development, the following areas are out of supply; Agulu, Nise, Awgbu, Aguluizuigbo, Nanka, Umuchu, Achina, Uga, Obodoukwu, Isuofia, Mkpologwu, Nise, Adazinuku, Adaziani, Oraukwu, Nnokwa, Alor, Adazienu, Obelebu, Akwaeze, Igboukwu, Oraezi Aguluezechukwu Town, Ula, Umuchiana, Ihuokpala, Nkolo, Oko Road, Agba, Ekuwlobia Road, Eke Ekwulobia, Stadium Road, Ekekanaya, Ortom Place Hotel, Bank Road and NAFDAC.
“The TCN maintenance crew has already commenced repair work at the station and supply will be restored once it’s completed.
“We sincerely regret the inconveniences this will cause our esteemed customers and remain committed to delivering improved services.
