Uyo based Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL)  Side Akwa United Football Club are interested in bringing Super Eagles midfielder, John Ogu into their fold.

The ‘Promise Keepers’ as the team is fondly called has expressed willingness in brining the midfielder to the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium ahead of the upcoming Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, season.

Ogu is currently a free agent after leaving Saudi Arabian club, Al-Adalah FC because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 32-year-old teamed up with the Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium outfit in January on a six-month deal after leaving Israeli Premier League side Hapoel Be’er Sheva, where he had spent four years.

Ogu only featured in seven league games for Al-Adalah before the outbreak of the coronavirus which forced football activities to a hiatus.

Ogu has previously featured for Akwa Starlets, Akwa United and the Flying Sports Academy youth teams before moving to Europe to continue his career.
